Demo Policy

Sending us a demo is a good idea. But please contact us first.
Always include the following in your emails:

  1. Your contact information.
  2. A presskit that describes who you are, what you do, and most importantly why.
  3. Sending us a link to your sound materials is acceptable.

When considering sending us your Mp3 files via email:
Do not email your tracks without contacting us first!

Before you contact us please be aware of the following guidelines:

  • Does your production quality promote your intentions? Please note: Low-fi sound is fine if that is what you wish to release. (Some might even suggest that this is what we prefer..) Proficient audio mastering is acceptable as well.
  • If your music has qualities unbecoming of what you want us to hear - DO NOT SEND US AN EMAIL UNTIL YOU ARE 100% sure of what you are sending us is perfect to your vision.
  • Do not contact us for a release if you haven't researched our lable.
  • To us, who you are is not as important as what you are creating.
  • Please understand that we will not contact you if we do not find your material to fit on Rotten Crab.
  • If we feel your work is something we enjoy enough to release, we will contact you.

Submissions should be in the following forms:

  • CDr
  • DVDr (playable on all operating systems)
  • Cassette Tape
  • Mp3 (do not upload them to our email without contacting us first!)
